WHAT'S THE BEST DALLAS NEIGHBORHOOD TO LIVE IN? HERE’S WHAT YOU SHOULD CONSIDER

Dallas is one of the largest metro areas in the country and the city is linked through freeways, local train system - DART, tollways, bus lines, and roads but each neighborhood is distinct. Deep Ellum is “hipster and edgy.” is up and coming. Frisco is great for families with kids and up-and-coming professionals. Southlake is popular with families looking for luxury homes in a tranquil setting. These are just a small flavor of the neighborhoods in tight-knit Dallas. If you branch out to McKinney, Little Elm, Westlake, Colleyville and the outer neighborhoods you get an entirely different “feel.”The biggest thing that you need to consider are the amenities you need, the types of homes you want available to you, the culture of the neighborhood (i.e. family-friendly, pet-friendly, access to public transportation, proximity to retirement hot spots), the nightlife, the food scene, and more. This post will spotlight a few neighborhoods to illustrate what you may want to consider.

Families: The best of both worlds, with a peaceful suburban environment, great schools, and close-knit communities, while still offering all the desired amenities that the DFW area has to offer.

Young Professionals/Millennials: Neighborhoods that cater to an urban lifestyle, where residents often live, work and play, within these walkable, lively communities.

Empty Nesters and Retirees: Lots of amenities that appeal to retirees and those looking to down-size, offering affordable living and a variety of homes ranging from cottage-style homes to modern townhomes.

High End, Luxury Living in DFW with Top Public Schools: Some of wealthiest neighborhoods that the DFW area has to offer include the following. These have well known high performing school districts well known in Texas and the country.

High End, Luxury Living Close to Downtown with Private Schools: Some of wealthiest neighborhoods close to downtown that the DFW area has to offer are preferred by homebuyers like physicians and professionals who work in downtown Dallas with access to major hospitals like Baylor University Medical Center and UT Southwestern. These communities provide an easy commute to Dallas downtown but lack good public schools. The residents have access to a number of top private schools in DFW area.
