And if your home is generally within 20 miles of the intersection of highways 35 and 635 in North Dallas (our service area), you will pay a $7000 listing commission (plus 3% to the buyer's broker) instead of our normal 6%. On a $5,00,000 sale, that's a $8,000 savings.
Around 90% of buyers are represented by their own agent so we need to offer them a commission in order to reach the largest audience. Even sellers who sell on their own, still usually pay a commission to a buyer's agent.
