Fields spans Collin and Denton counties, so the county follows the lot, while Windsong Ranch sits in Prosper, which has no PIDs. Public sources do not settle every special district at Fields. Where does Huntington Homes sell in these two communities?
A March 2023 report says Huntington had 42 homesites in the Brookside neighborhood at Fields, a community of about 2,545 acres, and had broken ground on a Fields model home with six announced floor plans. Windsong Ranch in Prosper is the other DFW community the report names.
That report is promotional and dated. Confirm current homesites and plans with me.
Which county is a Fields lot in?
Fields spans Collin and Denton counties. The county follows the lot, not the community name, and it decides the appraisal district, the tax roll and where you file a homestead exemption.
Does Fields have a PID or a MUD?
I cannot state either way. The City of Frisco's published PID page lists PID 1 and PID 2, both for the Panther Creek area, and says the city is closing both. Fields is not named there. A separate district, Frisco West WCID, posts public notices in Denton County. Verify with the county taxing unit list and the tax certificate for your lot. What is the picture at Windsong Ranch?
Windsong Ranch sits in the Town of Prosper, and Prosper has no public improvement districts. That is a fact about the town, not a concession from a builder.
