Who Owns Britton Homes? It Is a Brand of Perry Homes. Here Is Who Runs Perry Today


Britton Homes is the luxury brand of Perry Homes, launched in North Texas in 2016. It is not a separate company. Perry's May 2026 release lists Kathy Perry Britton as Owner and Executive Chair and Todd Chachere as Chief Executive Officer, and says the Britton name is used in select DFW communities. Who owns Britton Homes?

Perry Homes owns Britton Homes. A Perry Homes release dated February 2021 describes Britton Homes as its luxury brand, and Perry announced the launch on July 22, 2016. Trade press that year described Britton as a new brand for Perry's Dallas-Fort Worth expansion.


Perry's May 2026 release says the Britton Homes name is used in select Dallas-Fort Worth communities. Perry, not Britton, is the company you are contracting with. Confirm the legal builder entity in your contract.


Who runs Perry Homes now?

Perry's May 2026 release lists Kathy Perry Britton as Owner and Executive Chair and Todd Chachere as Chief Executive Officer. A 2016 article called Kathy Britton the CEO, so older pages, including some of mine, can be out of date on this point.

Perry's own site says it is based in Houston, has been in business since 1967 and builds in Houston, Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth and San Antonio, plus Florida markets. It announced the acquisition of MasterCraft Builder Group, a Florida builder, in December 2024. That acquisition is in Florida, not DFW.


What does the ownership mean for you as a buyer?

Two things. A visit to a Perry model and a visit to a Britton model are not automatically the same registration, so do not assume one covers the other.
