Shaddock Homes at Fields in Frisco: County, District and What to Verify Before You Reserve a Lot

Shaddock Homes at Fields in Frisco: County, District and What to Verify Before You Reserve a Lot
Fields in Frisco spans Collin and Denton counties, so the county, appraisal district and tax roll for a Shaddock lot are a per-lot question. Public sources do not settle every special district at Fields. The City of Frisco's PID page lists only two districts, both in the Panther Creek area. Send me the lot and I will verify it in writing.

Which county is a Shaddock lot at Fields in?
Fields is a master-planned community of about 2,544 acres along the Dallas North Tollway, Preston Road and US 380. It spans Collin and Denton counties, and Frisco addresses at Fields use several ZIP codes depending on the source. The county follows the lot, not the community name.
The county decides the appraisal district, the tax roll and where you file a homestead exemption. Ask me to confirm it for your lot.
Does Fields have a PID or a MUD?
I cannot state either way. The City of Frisco's published PID page lists PID 1 and PID 2, both for the Panther Creek area, and says the city is closing both. Fields is not named on that page. A separate water control and improvement district, Frisco West WCID, posts public notices in Denton County.
Some pages, including one of mine, say PID status varies by section at Fields. Do not rely on that without a lot-level check. The right check is the county appraisal district's taxing unit list and the tax certificate for your lot. Read my MUD and PID tax guide and my MUD vs PID guide.
Does the community name tell you the district?
No. Some pages state one ISD for all of Fields as settled. I verify the district for your exact address with the district in writing before you reserve the lot. Use my community district lookup and my Fields guide.
What lot widths does Shaddock show at Fields?
Shaddock's own pages show 40 foot and 50 foot sections at Fields. My own Fields guide lists other widths, so I verify the section and width for the lot you want. Read my new construction lot selection guide and Fields in Frisco.
Why verify before you reserve?
A lot is permanent and the reservation comes first. I check the county, taxing units and district before you commit. Read Shaddock Homes vs Shaddock Custom and my Shaddock Homes at Fields guide. Watch community walks on my YouTube channel.

Both. Fields spans Collin and Denton counties, so the county follows the lot. Verify it for your address.

A water control and improvement district named Frisco West WCID posts public notices in Denton County. Whether it applies to a given lot is a per-lot check.
What lot widths does Shaddock sell at Fields?
